Privacy policy
Pashupaalak is an app for running a dairy farm: recording milk, animal health, feed, workers and money. This policy explains what we collect, why, who else sees it and what you can do about it. Pashupaalak ("we") runs Pashupaalak and is responsible for your data.
What we collect
From owners: email address, or your Google account (its email, name and account ID) if you sign in with Google; name, phone number and postal address, asked right after sign-up; language; and the farm records you and your workers enter: animals, milk weighings, feeding, health checks, vaccinations, breeding, feed stock, income, expenses, udhaar, wages and photos.
From workers: name, job role, phone number (if the owner adds it), a PIN (stored only as a scrambled hash) and the records they log.
Technical data: sign-in times, device type and app version, and error logs, to keep the service working and secure.
Payments are handled by our payment gateway, Razorpay or Cashfree. We never see or store card, UPI or bank details; we keep the payment reference and amount.
Why we use it
To run the app for you: show your farm's figures, reminders, forecasts and reports.
To sign you in (with Google, or a one-time code by email, or by SMS for older phone accounts) and keep accounts secure (for example, stopping repeated wrong codes).
To bill Plus and Pro plans and answer support requests.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else sees it
Service providers who process data for us: Amazon Web Services (hosting in Mumbai, photo storage and SMS), Google (Google sign-in), Resend (sign-in code emails), Razorpay and Cashfree (payments), Cloudflare (the sign-up "I am human" check) and Google Analytics (anonymous visit statistics on our public pages, never inside the app).
AI features: the in-app AI features use Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI (ChatGPT). If you use one, or connect your own AI app, the farm figures needed for your question are sent to that AI provider. Worker phone numbers, PINs and login codes are never sent. We keep a log of AI requests to your farm data so you can see what was accessed; it is deleted with your account.
Your workers see what their role allows. A support person sees your account only when you ask for help, and cannot change anything.
Authorities, only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, your farms and records are erased at once and photos within 30 days. Payment records are kept for 8 years as tax law requires, without your name, email or phone.
Your rights
See and correct your data in the app at any time.
Delete your account and data: in the app (Profile → Delete account) or on the web (Settings → Account). See pashupaalak.com/delete-account.
Withdraw consent by deleting your account. You can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections and is stored encrypted. Sign-in uses Google or one-time codes; PINs and codes are stored only as hashes. Each farm's records are visible only to its owner and workers.
Photos (of animals, bills and receipts) are served from long, random web links that can't be guessed. Anyone who is given a photo's link can open it, so share photo links with care.
Children
Pashupaalak is for adults running a farm business. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
